BEMBO R.I.P

I've just been informed that my beloved typeface Bembo is too hard to read in print, and far too light to be reproduced correctly... Stupidly, I've been using it for a while now. Silly me, if only I knew. So, I'm making one last advert set in this 'unreadable font', then bidding it farewell.
the following is a personal homage

"Since the late 15th century, Bembo has been among the most universally admired — and imitated — type designs ever created."
"
Bembo is a true classic–and a typographic gem."
Goodbye old friend.

SCRUFFY BASTARD

I like Mr.Scruff... He's a really talented dj, a pretty good producer, and has a decent sense of humour. Check out his new(ish) music video. It's got fruit with faces drawn on! oh yes.

POLISH POSTERS

Have you noticed how sometimes films with awesome posters have really lame dvd covers...?
Or how most posters just suck in general? If it's not a huge red sans, it's Trajan. Guaranteed.
Anyway, I'm not here to talk about fonts. (?!). I've stumbled upon these little booties.

These conceptual masterpieces put the original American posters to shame"
Here's my favourites:

'watch' this space or 'time' for a change

I've noticed a trend happening and it's quite cool, basically there's no need to go out and buy a big old blinged up watch, any idiot can do that, the thing i've noticed is retro casio watches, all over the place. go to your parents and get yours dads old 80's silver one from his sock drawer...
i know i will. either that or argos.
They only do the black plastic version mind.

BRAZILIAN BRAHMA BEER BOTTLE

I've just spent the last few days and nights sitting in a field listening to music, eating bbq, and drinking lots of beer. I had Festinho to thank for that. Anyway, the whole thing was sort of sponsored by Brahma. Their bottles are pretty cool, I like the shape. Anyway, they've got some new limited edition artwork wrapped around them. I read it was a competition for artists to send in their designs, and the like... Nice.
